An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join the newly created QBE
Data Warehouse Team in the position of Data Warehouse Developer located in
Sydney, Australia.

This dynamic position provides technical input, designs and develops system
changes to enable data to be extracted, transformed and loaded into the
Data Warehouse in accordance with business specifications and needs.

The position maintains and develops the Data Warehouse to ensure maximum
efficient and economic operation.

Generous remuneration is on offer for the right candidate.

It is expected that the successful candidate will possess the following:



Experience & Skills

Required:

At least three years experience developing in DataStage to an advanced
level.

Comprehensive experience in DataStage Basic.

Expertise in writing SQL.

Demonstrated UNIX competence.

Proven database design and development skills. Preferably in Red Brick.

Extensive experience in application programming and design..

Good interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent communications skills.

Excellent prioritization and organisation skills.

Motivated self starter.



Desired:

Familiarity with slowly changing dimension data models .

Previous experience in database administration. Preferably in Red Brick.

Demonstrated use of ERwin.

Previous experience in general insurance systems.

knowledge of HTML, Java Script, JSP, Java, SQL and XML

Consultancy skills.

Project Management experience.

Relevant industry training certificates.
