IA audit trail
Our organization finds the audit trail in IA quite limited. Are there external utilities or scripts that can provide more info? For example, all logins, runs, in all projects (i.e., one report for all of IA, not just individual projects), what was changed in a rule update, etc?

A million thanks, everyone. I will bring all your brilliant suggestions to our team. Andy, The person in charge of the purge plan to start with anything older than 3 years, then 2.5, etc. You said one month took forever and you had to go to one day at a time and it still took a few hours. I will com...

Backing up IADB
I'm looking for recommendations and best practices on backing up IADB. This is our situation: - We have been using IA for three years. - IADB has grown to 10TB. - We backed it up once and it took 50 hours. - Most, if not all, projects do not have auto purge set in Project Properties. - IBM provided ...

Any way to export rules to Excel?
Is there any way to export a data rule's properties - bindings, joins, output content, output table, etc. - for use outside IA, such as into Excel? And hopefully something that can do entire projects, i.e., multiple rules.
I don't know of any such feature within IA but outside of it, say in IGC?

Re: IA coalesce function result
trim(street,'') works OK by itself in IA. TRIM does not accept a second parameter. Not sure you meant to type the '' inside the function. trim(coalesce(column,'')) causes some problems in IA: First, I believe that IA treats '' equal to a null (whether it is a null is debatable, I know). I tested it...

We are on 11.3 and have the same issue. Our IT folks have tried different drivers, JDBC, etc, to no avail. We have a PMR open and so far, IBM has not helped resolve the issue. We're hoping we would have better luck when we install 11.5 at yearend but I see you're on 11.5. The workaround we will atte...

Buenas dias, manito! Glad to be able to touch base here. Hi Manito, How about a virtual table to represent the right table with the desired records to return only one when joining with the left table? Of course you would need to use regular SQL techniques to get the table as you want... Unfortunatel...
